A while back I’d been trying to find the Sodash Grant. I understood that:
- Shri Vallabhacharya had written it.
- It would open my eyes and show me The Path.
- Bring me a step closer to Shri Krishna.
- Made of 16 verses.
Time went by during which, I had been to India, read more books and met many vaishnavs but couldn’t find the elusive Sodash Grant. I discovered Shri Vittalnathji had simplified the Sodash Grant enabling more people to understand it, so I expanded my search to include the Tipani.
The search became harder and it looked like I wasn’t meant to know, but trusted time would come for answers. Several times I asked to be taught or explained the Tipani, but my pronunciation caused confusion and people started to show me the Indian calendar even giving me copies (thanks). The same occured with the Sodash Grant, people would reinstate the four points above. Every time, the same thing… 16 jewels, the greatest works by Shri Vallabhacharya, 16, calendar, 16, another calendar, 16, 16, 16!!!
Then one night the answer presented itself, I counted the number of works Shri Vallabhacharya had composed – 16! My heart skipped a beat, I felt like Indiana Jones finding that certain something, I had found the jewels, sorry – The Jewels found me…
- Sodash = 16.
- Grant = works.
